How to Enter and Exit Safe Mode on Android phone ?

Safe Mode function has been added to Android system since Android 4.1. Similar as the Safe Mode
function in Windows system, when the Android device starts up to access Safe Mode, only the
factory pre-installed applications will be loaded. This function helps users to do system
analysis/recovery, fix software error without any disturbance from the installed 3rd party Apps.

Please refer to the features below for Safe Mode:
Ø   System starts up with only the factory preinstalled applications.
Ø   There is “Safe Mode” text sign on the lower-left of home screen
Ø   In Safe Mode, users can uninstall apps which cause system error without disturbance.
Ø   In Safe Mode, all apps and personal data are still remained in the device.

How to Enter Safe Mode?

Apply to：ZenFone, PadFone, FonePad

When power is off:
1. Long press power key to boot.
2. When ASUS logo appears, press and hold volume down key till home screen appears
3. " Safe Mode " reminder appears on the lower-left of home screen

When power is on:
1. Long press power key.
2. Tap and hold “Power Off”.


















3. Tap " OK " of Reboot to Safe Mode window.



4. " Safe mode " reminder appears on the lower-left of home screen.


How to Exit Safe Mode ?

Restarting your device. Your device will now be exit safe mode.

NOTE：If the system can not exit safe mode, please try to unplug and reinstall battery again ( IF the battery is removable). Meanwhile, please check if the volume key is stuck or faulty.
